Awkward Ears

Wintermute

Time to get back to business.

Who likes music you can dance to? ME! and hopefully you, faithful readers, like it too. I’ve been tracking this band for a little while now, waiting for them to release an EP that i could grab. They finally did so in early august bringing out a little golden gem called Fun With Wizard Stencils.

I got onto Wintermute through a little band called Hot Club De Paris, who i will eventually address and do a write up about – just not today, today is Wintermute’s day. Wintermute are from Leeds in da UK which is cool because it means i’ll eventually get to see them play live.

So what is wintermute bringing to the musical chairs? Shitloads. I would say this band was comparable to the kind of music Hot Club De Paris, Blakfish, Minnaars and bands like that play – notice they are all UK based. I was trying to figure what kind of US bands sound similar. I guess bands like Brilliant Red Lights, and Javelins perhaps. Anyways, you make the decision and post a comment. I’m genuinely interested. You know what to do.

Hey There

Welcome to Awkward Ears. This is a blog that is musically focused on bands that are technical, angular, awkward and fucking awesome. I buy records, CDs, etc. listen to them, and decide whether I like them. Then, if I do like them, I write about my experience and share the music. If you feel that you'd like my uploads taken off, please let me know. I don't want anyone hurt :) Be My Friend, because i have none at http://www.last.fm/user/breakorbit Follow me on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/awkwardears Just like a politician. Enjoy.
