Guess who’s back, back again, Shady’s back, tell a friend.
Which is indeed true, the real Slim Shady is back, but that is not who I was talking about. I was merely referring to myself; back to a fully functional computer with a nice big, fat pipe o’ Internet. With me I bring a little treat, hopefully. I guess you, dear reader, will be the ultimate decider of that little fact.
Minnaars is their name, making extremely danceable, slightly angular music is their game. Based out of Leicester in sunny England, the five-some recently embarked on their first escapades across the western lands of the Europe. Which is good, these guys deserve to get some extensive coverage.

Two 'N's Two 'A's
There is a new resounding sound coming out of the UK’s exploratory and experimental bands, a sound that essentially pins the bass track as the instrument carrying the melody forward leaving the guitars to play off each other looping and spiraling wonderfully complex licks in the background. Vocals, drums and anything else slightly percussive (cow bell) keeping a very danceable rhythm. Of course, there is always room for that occasional melodic breakdown, the marriage of all instruments in one dramatic movement. If this sounds like I’m just spurting shite, I’m sorry, it’s been awhile and i chose to just let the juices run.
In any case, the Minnaars boys have been kind enough to make their first EP completely free and e-available. For lover’s of Foals, This Town Needs Guns and The Great Eskimo Hoax.
‘ Tis good to be back.
